| I want my paintings to make people smile. I intend their moods to be playful, perhaps even exuberant. Color invigorates life, and, in a painting, colors create harmonies and conflicts that make a painting sparkle. I like to exaggerate the natural world by enhancing its color. Once I've captured the likeness of my subject, exotic color combinations begin to appear, suggesting and/or revealing an emotional expression. |
