Pricing for Art Work


The charge for art images is based on time.
  • First hour, $75
  • Subsequent hours, $50.
    • Set up time for each piece varies depending on size, shape, and reflectance (for example, highly reflective materials such as glazed pottery are more difficult than matte surfaces). Typically it takes 15-30 minutes to get an item properly lit, test different angles, etc. If pieces are very similar, the same set up can be used repetitively, saving substantial time.
    • Processing of the images takes 10-30 minutes and includes formatting for Zapp supported shows or any other format that you specify, burning a CD or DVD and mailing it to you. The smaller jpg files used for submission can be emailed, but you will also get the high resolution files.

Art Work Preparation


You can minimize the cost and maximize the quality of the images by using these guidelines
  • You are responsible for delivering the pieces to me and shipping or picking up after the shots. Be sure to pack carefully in a way that I can repack for return. Insure the shipment. You will need to pay for shipping both ways. However, if you are in the Austin area, I can often arrange a time and place to recieve and return the work.
  • Make sure the pieces are clean, shined if appropriate. Dust, scratches, smudges must be removed before exposure to minimize processing time and possible artifact.
  • Be as specific as possible about the angles you want shot. I will send you test shots for approval before the final shots to be sure we agree on the view.
